Here are a few September pics from a SYK trip to western Maine. What a summer here in New England. David Shepler and i spent a few days
in Northwest Maine in August cruising the 15 mile long Azischohos Lake.
David has a Current Designs kayak with a 32 BSD rig up front and had put
a 1 meter sail on the stern for the first time. He noticed the upwind
performance improved and the 1 meter makes an excellent storm sail if
used alone. I was in the Easy RIder 18'6" with a 36 hp. |

Newport Aquafest update! Greetings. Yes, it looks like the 1st
annual "regatta" will be early afternoon Friday the 6th leaving from
Prouty Beach in Newport. It would be great to see you there. The
Kingdom folks are working us into their kayak "race" and no one has done
this before so we are going to have to wing it. Realistically we may
end up with more of an "expedition" up to the Canadian Border- 5 miles north and back..... Unless we all have our passports! |
